I’ve been a lead guitarist for 35 years. I have tried the vast share of overdrive/ distortion pedals over the years. Even the previous versions of this pedal. I don’t know why, but this pedal brings me that creamy smooth type of overdrive I’ve always wanted for my sound. My style encompasses Rock, Rock’n Blues, Progressive, and Metal styles. I’m very happy to have made this purchase.

Gives you the classic overdriven sound you are looking for while letting the tone of your guitar come through. Or overdrive to the point of mad distortion if you want.
I considered the BOSS DS-1, OS-2, and blues driver as well as the tube screamer/boutique pedals. I found online reviews that needlessly confuse new guitarists (distortion vs overdrive) and debate very subjective opinions.
But no one gives you a straight answer to “if I’m buying ONE pedal, which one should I get?”
Get the OD-3, it will give you what your ears are expecting to hear. Then adjust your tone to make it your own.
